Registered nurse (R.N.) - Edmonton South, Alberta

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Part Time, Weekend, Day, Evening

Salary: $32.00 to $43.00 Hourly for 24 hours per week, As per collective agreement

Skill Requirements:

Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Completion of university

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work, Basic cardiac life support (BCLS), CPR certification

Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English

Work Setting: Community health clinic or centre

Area of Specialization: Float, Emergency room, Intensive care, Operating room, Surgical unit

Specific Skills: Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions, Collaborate to plan, implement, co-ordinate and evaluate patient care, Dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician, Monitor, assess, address, document and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions, Provide health education, Provide nursing care, Conduct disease screening

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Computer use, Continuous learning

Other Information:Experience with biologics an asset. Excellent IV skills and computer skills mandatory.
